Extraordinary singer Cecilia Bartoli set up her Cecilia Bartoli - Music Foundation in 2007. Reflecting Cecilia's spirit and purpose, the Foundation aims to evolve into a cornerstone of our culture and of classical music. The Cecilia Bartoli - Music Foundation is dedicated to music research, supports performances and music collections alike, organises exhibitions and advances musical projects of all kinds. I have been on the Board of Trustees of this fantastic organisation since 2019. The heartfelt aim of us all is bring classical music to as broad an audience as possible.

The Foundation's first spectacular project was "Maria Malibran" – a touring exhibition which presented rare objects from the age of Rossini and bel canto to an audience all around Europe. It has since supported masterclasses for talented singers held by Cecelia Bartoli's mother, famous singing teacher Silvana Bazzoni. In 2018, the Foundation created a new and exclusive recording label, "Decca mentored by Bartoli", which supports outstandingly gifted musicians.
